A good reaction

Olivier Ragondet, Captain of France: “We are happy to have won but I must confess Puerto Rico played very well, too."

Yves Logeais, Coach of France: “We will play against Brazil tomorrow and we played with them one week ago. They are very hard and their serve is very tough. They play very fast. We played well against Argentina because we had played with Brazil before in friendly matches. We just have to keep playing well. After the second match of the second round we had a good reaction. We have to work to finish well. We have to show our value."

Javier Perez, Setter of Puerto Rico: “It was a tough match. In the first set we weren't able to play. We were  in a sort of mental sleep. Then the moral went down. France played well and their middle blocks made many points."

Ariel Diaz, Coach of Puerto Rico: “Tomorrow we are playing with Egypt at 12.30. It's not a problem for us to have another match in half a day: we have to continue working. We are capable to play tomorrow in the morning again because we have always kept training and playing thus maintaining a good rhythm. We have already played with Egypt in the first round and we won. Now we have to pay attention and be more consistent because we are always going up and down. Today we played differently also because our best hitter got hurt yesterday but this is not excuse: we have to be more consistent!"
