Defense of Argentina was key in the fifth set

Coach Fabian Muraco and Captain Sebastian Sole of Argentina

Sebastián Sole, Captain of Argentina: “The true to be said is that the match was too long. But after claiming the win we only have to prepare to get another victory tomorrow.”

Fabian Muraco, Coach of Argentina: “It was a very tough match with the nerves of the first one. I anticipated a hard contest against France and I was right. We started a little shaky in the first set and then committed one error in the fourth set when we let the three-point lead to escape.”

Olivier Ragondet, Captain of France: “We made too many mistakes, especially in our serves. The control of the serves was not good.”

Yves Logeais, Coach of France: “It would have been better to get the win. We played a good first set but it was difficult to keep the consistency. We had many problems of communications and the key of the match was the floor defense in the back end by Argentina in the fifth set. I like the way Argentina plays.”
