A fundamental victory for India

Otavio Rodrigues Pinot, Captain of Brazil: “It was a difficult match, but we were able to play at the same level at least during some important moments of the match. We were able to focus enough during the sets we won. But that’s not enough to win the match”.

T.D. Ravikumar, Captaon of India: “We played really well therefore we are all really happy. We now have to look forward to the match we will play tomorrow to Russia”.

Percy Oncken, Coach of Brazil: “We obviously did not expect not to be in the eight best teams. The level of both teams today was really high, I know many players of the Indian team and I know they have a lot of experience. We will now try to give our best to reach the top of the round we will be playing in”.

G.E. Sridharan, Coach of India: “We had already played against Brazil before and we knew they are a really good team therefore beating them is fundamental for us. Brazil is definitely a number one team so we are proud to win”.
