First win for Egypt in the WC

Attack by Omar Hassan (EGY)
As simple as that had it not been expected to win by the Egyptian team of coach Hossam Attia. In the duel between the two North African representatives Egypt beat Algeria in straight sets (25-16, 25-21, 25-22) in just 69 minutes playing time. For the Egyptians it was the first victory at the World Championship in the sixth game. Algeria needs to continue to wait on the other hand, the first success.

At each stage of the match, the Egyptians had control over his opponent, who looked tired. Both teams were in charge (6-5 for Egypt) and attack almost even (30-30 points), were the differences in the block and in the sum of oppenent errors was much clearer. Algerian players get only two block points, Egypt was nine times with the block successfully. Algeria also had to complain about eight unforced errors (22-30) more.

Best scorer for the winners were Omar Hassan (EGY) with 15 points. For Algeria Raouf Nedjar collected the most points (13).
