Quiroga and Finoli heavily contributed to the 8-5 lead in the first set for Argentina while Gurjant scored with three spikes for India. After Sole blocked Ravikumar, India called time-out with Argentina leading 12-8. After spike of Indian Omveer, Sole scored on a quick play and the South Americans arrived to the second stop with a comfortable 16-9 advantage. Following a block by Quiroga that sent the score to 18-9, India called another time-out. Later two consecutive blocks by Soler closed the set 25-12.
India led 8-5 and 16-10 at the technical stops of the second set with Ravikumar and Omveer making the most noise. Ravikumar compiled five points in the set and the lefty Omver contributed with 4. Chrisistoper Jhon added three points in a set where India also converted points with three blocks. India won 25-16.
India took a 5-1 lead in the third se with Ravikumar hitting one spike and one ace and Navkit scoring with one spike and one block. Chiristoper had a hot hand also as India increased to 8-3 at the technical time-out. Blocks by Sole and Ramos reduced the deficit of Argentina to three points. Castellani was warming up for Argentina twice scoring to close his team to two points. Block by Sole made it 14-13. Ravikumar and Sole exchanged kills and Vaca tied at 15-all attacking from left side. One fault by India gave the advantage to Argentina 16-15. A long service and a fault gave back the lead to India but Sole responded quickly. Jhon sent India in front 18-17 but Ramos tied. Vaca broke a tie at 19-19 and later Castellani put Argentina ahed only to see Ravikumar leveling. The same two guys continued their personal duel. Then Jhon hit a kill for set-point, but Vaca tied up. Again was Vaca hammering for set-point but Jhon met the challenge. Castellani and Jhon traded hits but then then Vaca and Vinti scored to give Argentina the win 28-26.
India had the slight margin 8-7 in the fourth set. Omveer broke a tie at 12-12 but Vaca produced the level for Argentina. Jhon scored for India and a fault extended the lead. Block by Omveer gave India a 16-13 lead. Vaca scored with a tip off the block bus Castellani failed with his serve. Vaca continued producing and Jhon responding for 18-15 in favor of India. Ramos killed down the middle. At 19-17 Ribone’s attack was too long and Ravikumar served one ace. India won the fourth set 25-19.
In the fifth set, teams were tied 3-3 after spike Sole for his second point in the tiebreaker. The attack of Omveer crashed into the net and Vaishnav tied at 4-all. Castellani scored for Argentina and the attack by Omveer was too long for a 6-4 Argentinean advantage. Jhon and Vaca exchanged spikes sending Vaca to the service line. The attack of Ravikumar was wide and teams traded sides with Argentina leading 8-5. Castellani’s spike increased the lead to four points. Omveer twice attacked for India cutting down the difference to 9-7. Vaishnav served one ace but Ramos countered back with one spike. Omveer scored again but his next attempt was blocked by Sole for 11-9. Thennarasan and John tied for India but Vinti put Argentina again in front 12-11. The touch of Vacas landed safe for 13-11. Vaca again placed his soft shot for set-point. Omveer attacked for India but once again Vaca responded for the victory 15-12.
