Russian Igor Kobzar passes the ball
In the duel between the two undefeated teams from Russia and India, but decreased in the Palazzo del Turismo in Jesolo for first place in Pool D process demonstrated the Russian bear once again its superiority in block and attack.

In the first set they went about 8-5, 16-15 and 21-17 of one unstoppable 25-20 set win. Ten of the 25 points made the players of Coach Shlyapnikov by the attack, five of which went to the account from Leonid Shchadilov. It was impressive but the record of six block points during the 20 minutes playing time.

Not much different it looked in set two. Russia made more block points (4-1) and remained in the attack (12-8) dominated. Although India was leading with 8-6 in the meantime, the Russians controlled the action at any time. After 16-12 at the second technical timeout at the end it was 25-18.

After only a few minutes, was also set three all clear. Russia led with 8-2, 11-5 and 23-13. Then Igor Filippov came to serve and the last two rallies were typical of the game. Receiving problems among the Indian players left no controlled play, so that Mann Omveer twice hit the ball out of bounds: 25-13.
