Russsia's captain Kazakov said: 'We will see what happens tomorrow'

Setter Kevin Hansen(14) puts the ball up for the U.S. hitters (in red).

Russia's captain Alexey Kazakov: "I congratulate the U.S. team for the win. They did an exceptionally good job on defense. We had a lot of mistakes. We will see what happens tomorrow."

USA's player Kevin Hansen: "It’s always good to beat a team the caliber of Russia. I agree that we played well defensively. We handled their serves and attacks well with our receptions. When we handle their serves and attacks well it makes my job easier."

Russia's coach Daniele Bagnoli: "I thought the U.S. played a very consistent match. I thought the match was interesting. I saw some good things from my team. It was important that we get a player like Yury Berezhko, who has not played for the last 20 days, in the match."

USA's coach Alan Knipe: "This was a good win for us. Russia has been the best team in our group. It was a lot more important to us that we play at a good level than to worry about Russia. I thought Russell Holmes did a great job at middle blocker filling in for Ryan Millar. I thought Kevin Hansen played his best match of World League."
