Russia happy with six points

Daniele Bagnoli liked that his team had a tough game

Russian coach Daniele Bagnoli: "I am glad that today was a tough game not like yesterday. It’s much more useful for our team. It’s also important that we gained six points against the strongest opponent in the group. It can be decisive for the qualifications to the Final Round.”

Russian captain Alexey Kazakov: “We are happy to end the weekend with two important wins. But it is just the beginning of the season so we have to keep on working.”

USA coach Alan Knipe: “I am pleased that today we played better than yesterday. And I was also pleased with the fact that the team came back into the game after the first set even though we didn’t play so well. Hopefully we’ll be improving from weekend to weekend as our goal is to qualify for the Final Round.”

USA Captain Ryan Millar: "We played better today than we did yesterday and hopefully we’ll play even better in Finland next weekend where I expect another two tough games.”
