Dutch coach Peter Blangé says: "We were closer to a win today"

The Brazilian block tries to stop Niels Klapwijk

Brazil's coach Bernardo Rezende: “Though we started with the same players that finished the match yesterday, it did not work for us today. Too many unforced errors, but after the substitutions I felt even more relieved than yesterday.”

The Netherlands' coach Peter Blangé: “We were close today, closer than yesterday. We played well, more with our heads. But from the fourth set, we started making more mistakes. Nevertheless we played four good matches against Brazil. We should have won one match more, but it was a pleasure to be in their pool.”

Brazil's team captain Giba: “Something went wrong with the Netherlands after the third set. And we kept on believing in winning, so in the end we could give just a bit more.”

The Netherlands' captain Rob Bontje: “It was a long, difficult match. The Brazilian substitutes of today played very well, so they started taking back the match.”
