"We'll go for a victory also against Brazil" says Serbian captain

Peruvian captain Vivian Baella: “In the first two sets we were a way too nervous, in the third we took all risks as we had nothing more to lose and it worked out. Again we were too tense in the tie-break and this kind of attitude did not pay off”.

Coach Manuel Artieda: “As we came to Thailand, I said that our goal was to finish among the best eight teams. We did it but now we want to win the game against Japan to try to finish in fifth place”.

Serbian captain Danica Radenkovic: “Our start was pretty good; then we all thought we were going to win 3-0 and our concentration suddenly fell down. In that way Peru had a good chance to come back but fortunately we re-gained the control of the game in the tie-break. Tomorrow we’ll play Brazil, we know that they have a very good team and even though we are probably already qualified for the semifinals – if Brazil defeats Japan – we’ll play at our best and go for a victory”.

Coach Marjana Mirosavljevic: “I am not happy at all with the way my girls relaxed and played after the first two sets. This should never happen. I think that they were also somehow stressed and fatigued after the very demanding match we had yesterday against Japan. This is a team that can defeat any opponent as long as we maintain our concentration and play at our best. Now I am going to see Japan playing Brazil and analyze the South Americans, tomorrow we’ll have for sure a great game against them”.
