"Aiming at finishing first in our group" says Brazilian captain

Japan’s captain Chisato Matsuyama: “It was a very beautiful match and I think we played even better than yesterday against Serbia. Unfortunately we missed again our chance, this time in the third set and so I am a bit sad for that”.

Coach Ogawa: “I agree with my player, it was definitely a very beautiful match, but I am sorry that we lost the last two matches in such a way. Tomorrow we’ll play against Peru; as they are working with coach Man Bok Park, their play is quite similar to ours, especially the toss of the setter is very fast and their digs also feature a Korean style. We’ll do our best to win that match”.

Brazil’s captain Rosane: “I am very happy for this victory, especially after three so demanding sets, both physically and mentally. Now we’ll go back to the hotel, have a rest and then we’ll start preparing the match we have tomorrow against Serbia. We definitely want to get the first place in our group before moving to the semifinals”.

Coach Luizomar de Moura: “Congratulations to Japan. They played an excellent match and caused us many troubles with their quick play. Their defense is really spectacular. We will seek for the first place in our group, a tough match against Serbia is now waiting for us”.
