Italy continue push to Final Round

Italy's Alessandro Fei goes high as the visitors overcame China on Saturday
Wuhan, China, July 3, 2010 - Italy ended their trip to China with a 3-0 (25-17, 27-25, 25-21) win over the home side as the Europeans kept the pressure on Serbia in Pool B of the 2010 FIVB World League.

Italy controlled the game with four consecutive points as soon as the first set began before China improved their block and took the lead. However, the home side could not keep up its good momentum as the Italian side picked up the set.

China fought back in the second set, taking an early 6-4 lead. Both sides continued to remain on equal terms until China missed a few opportunities to allow the visitors to organize their attack and see out the set.

A number of faults saw China drop behind as the third set started and despite trying to catch up, the home side could still not find their rhythm. Both sides had an error strewn period before Italy took advantage of a number of opportunities to finally win the match.

China will host France in their final match of the Intercontinental Rounds while Italy travel to Serbia.
