Toulouse, France, June 27, 2010: Italy clinched victory over France in their 2010 FIVB World League 2010 clash as the visitors claimed a 3-1 (25-19, 25-22, 23-25, 25-23) win.
The visitors took the lead early on to gain momentum. They continued their dominance to see out the set and take a 1-0 lead.
France picked up the pace in the second but Italy returned to their earlier momentum to take the advantage. France came back to 17-19 and 19-21 but the "Squaddra Azzura" ended the set to move on step closer to victory.
Italy aimed to carry their momentum into the third set but the hosts had other ideas and went ahead early on. Italy came back before France claimed the set victory to take the match to a fourth set.
Both sides started evenly in the fourth before Italy pulled ahead by three points. France brought the match to within one point but the visitors saw out the match and claimed victory over the side following an Emanuele Biralelli spike.
