Mexico coach replaced the setter Nancy Ortega by Alejandra Perales to change the strategy of the attacks as she tried to use the middle blocker Xitali Herrera and the left attacker Samantha Bricio. Again the Chinese Taipei led through their left handed opposite Wan Ting Chen who sent her unstoppable hits from position 2 aided by the adjusted block of Chen Yin Chang to proceed winning the second set 25-18.
In the third set the Taipei team was overwhelming psychologically and technically and thus they went easily to a double score lead 18-8 at the STT.
