Marijana Mirosavljevic took over as head coach of the
Serbian Youth Girls in May 2008, replacing Branko Gajic, to whom she served as
the assistant coach on four occasions: at the WCH 2007, ECH 2007, EYOF 2007,
and 2007 Balkan Championship.
Mirosavljevic was born on June 26, 1982, in Belgrade, and
she lives and works in the City of Obrenovac, where she started her playing and
coaching career.
She was the setter for Obrenovac's VC TENT from from
1993-2002. After finishing her playing career, she started coaching youth
categories at her club, where she made some notable results and was named Best
Coach of Youth Categories in Belgrade.
Mirosavljevic made her debut as head coach of Serbian
Youth Girls in July 2008 at the Balkan Championship in Greece, where the team
won the silver medal.
She repeated that success at the 2009 European
Championship, where the team once again finished second.
Mirosavljevic is a Professor of Physical Education, a
member of the Association of Serbian Volleyball Coaches, and a member of the
Association of Serbian Volleyball Referees.
