Poland's Youth Girls' World Championship team has been
playing together since 2001 with most of the players
students at the Polish Volleyball Federation's Sports
School. The rest of the team are coached across
various Volleyball clubs in Poland.
The results so far have been encouraging and now
playing on their home soil Poland will be out for
glory.
In 2002 they finished third at the Olympic Hopes
Tournaments in Nitra, Slovakia before finishing first
at the European Championship Qualification tournament
in Bardejow, Slovakia. Their most recent result, a
sixth placing at the European Championship in Croatia
has them well primed for a tilt at the World title on
their home soil in August.
