Press conference

Thailand beat Serbia & Montenegro 3-2 (25-16, 22-25, 25-18, 20-25, 15-13) - duration 1:59
13-Aug, start time: 15:05, end time: 17:04 - Attendance: 170
Head coach of Thailand, Chitipol Toomanee:

"We are extremely happy because this is one of the best achievements in the history of Thailand's youth volleyball. We beat a very strong team, much taller than ours. Both teams had a chance to win. We prevailed most of all thanks to our concentration in the decisive moments".

Malika Kunthong, captain of Thailand:

"We were very well prepared for this game. We studied how to play against Serbia and Montenegro and we fulfilled our tactical plan. The key to our victory lies in good service, solid defence and also in a cleaver spiking - in a way that even a tall block is helpless".

Head coach of Serbia and Montenegro, Ms. Zorica Lazic:

"Most of my players let me down. They were not able to stand a pressure. Only Jovana Brakocevic, the tallest and the youngest in a team, performed on her usual level. Our future is now uncertain; I have to think everything over".

Sanja Hanusic, captain of the team from Serbia and Montenegro:

"I can only congratulate Thailand for the great performance. We played very poorly and I still don't know why. We are very sorry"
