10-Aug, start time: 12:30, end time: 14:07 - Attendance: 200
Assistant coach of Russia, Vadim Kirianov, speaking on behalf of the coaching staff:

"Even though we were very well prepared to this game, in tactical meaning, our players could not used to the way of play Thailand represents. We performed too nervously especially in the third set".

Captain of the Russian team, Maria Borodakova added that:

"After first two sets we believed to be already winners and this is why we lost the third part".

Head coach of Thailand, Chitipol Toomanee:

"At the beginnings of both first and second sets we keep the score leveled but as the play went we began to make too many mistakes in defence and the Russians' attacks broke through easily. I am satisfied that we managed to take the third set but in the fourth my players were visibly too tired".

Captain of Thailand, Malika Kunthong, stated that:

"I am not satsfied with our play today - yesterday we performed much better against Poland. I hope to beat Egypt in the last game and proceed to tha second round".
