Serbia won a very difficult match

Farhad Salafzoon, Captain of Iran: “Congratulations to the Serbian team. They played very, very well. I feel sad and even sorry for my coach because we lost this final.”

Jovica Cvetkovic, Coach of Iran: “I am happy today because my country has won this world championship. Of course I am very sad of my boys that they didn’t win. Those teams are very good and on a really high level. We knew that it will be a hard match. But the Serbians had today the better motivation and were more aggressive and strong. At least I would like to congratulate to my staff and players because they did a good job.”

Aleksandar Atanasijevic, Captain of Serbia: “It was the most difficult match in my life. Iran has a very strong team but today we were better. Our motivation was as high as it could be. Even when we lost Uros Kovacevic in the second set because if his injury we felt that we could win. He was sitting on the bench and was crying, so we wanted to win for him. And for our country it was a historical success.”

Milan Djuricic, Coach of Serbia:”It was really difficult match, We started well and more relaxed than the Iranians. The second set we lost because Uros Kovacevic couldn’t play anymore. We had than great fear to loose the match. But in the fourth set we were back in the match and in the last set we didn’t make any mistake. Dusan Petkovic who came for Uros played a very good match.”
