Ricardo Maldonado, Coach of Spain: “First of all I would like to give my congratulations to the Iranian team. We had many difficulties and if they won it is definitely because they played really well. I think my team was unrecognizable as we did not manage to be in the perfect mental shape and this led us to make many mistakes”.

Jovica Cvetkovic, Coach of Iran: “Congratulations to the Spanish team and to the coach which showed the skills of his team. Spain is probably not the team with the best individual players but showed that a team can replace some individual lacks playing together. The Spanish team really has a great connection between the setter and the other players and that is fundamental. Today it was possible to realize that we always have to play 100% as when we loose concentration we made more mistakes as in the third set. I would like to remark that both teams played a high-level match, we did better at some points of the competition therefore we managed to win”.
