A lot of experiences for all players

U.S.-Boys during timeout
Issei Maeda, Captain of Japan: “It was very hard for us and we did not manage to win therefore we are quite sad”.

Taylor Sandor, Captain of the USA: “We definitely played better than yesterday. Our passing and serving was really good. We are happy in particular because it was difficult to play after the match we lost yesterday”.

Masafumi Oura, Coach of Japan: “After three matches I can notice that my team is getting better. It was very hard for us but I am sure we will be able to give our best in Bassano. I personally believe we were probably in one of the most difficult pools as the US, Iran and Serbia are really good teams”.

Andy Read, Coach of the USA: “Japan is a real good team. Their offence is very different compared with ours so it has been a real learning experience for my guys. I think both teams are getting better, we played well today and that is fundamental. We are now fans of Serbia. I will definitely take the Serbian coach out for a drink if they manage to win. It is very difficult to win two matches in a row and Serbia did really well yesterday therefore I really hope they can manage to do well even today”.
