Third victory for Egypt

Congratulations to Moustafa Idris (EGY) for the last point
The next dancing boygroup in the Palasport in Bassano del Grappa: After the 3-1 (25-22, 18-25, 25-22, 25-20) against Japan, the players of Egypt put down a little dance on the field. In 13th place, Egypt has improved from the World Championship two years ago at three positions. For Japan, there is rank 14 the worst performance in seven participations at a World Championship.

Japan had a bad start with the first set and made twelve unforced errors. This was the proposition losing the set by 22-25 after 22 minutes playing time.

It ran better in set two. Only four unforced errors, but two aces and two block points were good enough for a 25-18 and a 1-1 after two sets.

However, Egypt was now even better and wanted to enter the third victory. In the attack made the players of coach Hossam Attia in set three and four each four block points and fourteen attacks. That was the basis for the set results with 25-22 and 25-20.

Small consolation for Japan: the standings of the best scorer went to Takashi Dekita with 21 points. Twenty he reached via attack, one per block. For Egypt Moustafa Idris won as best scorer 17 points (14 attacks, even two blocks, one reserve).
