Team profile

The history of the Italian Boy’s Youth National Team “Cadetti” is rather short, but successful. The first official event they participated in was the 1995 Europan Championship in Barcelona, where it lost 3-1 in the final against Russia.

The same year, the team won silver at the World Championship in Puerto Rico, once again behind Brazil.

In 1997, the team won the World Championship in Tehran after collecting gold at the European Championship in Puchov, Slovakia.

In the past ten years, Italy won bronze at the European Championship in 2003 and 2005, while also finishing third at the World Championship in Algiers, Algeria in 2005.
