Team profile

The Egyptian Boys Youth National Team is comprised of players from different clubs in Egypt.

The team first participated at the 2008 Boys Youth African Nations in Egypt, where they ranked second to qualify for the 2009 Boys Youth World Championship in Italy.

Most of the players started playing club volleyball in 2000 and 2001. The team is being groomed to become the Men's Junior team that will compete at the 2010 African Championship with an aim of qualifying for the World Championship.
Coach profile

Attia Hossam is a professor at the Sports College, University of Hellwan, with a PhD in sports psychology.

Hossam is a former Volleyball player at Zamalek Club in the late 80s and early 90s.

Hossam was also the head coach of Zamalek Club for several years and head coach of the National Egyptian Junior volleyball teams.
