Team profile
Algeria will travel to Italy with a new team that was built two years ago with the goal of becoming the core of the future Men's team.

This will be the fourth time Algeria has participated at the tournament after appearances in 1991, 1999 and 2005.

The aim of the new coach is to give his young players experience, and the Algerian Volleyball Federation has done everything in their power to ensure the best possible preparation for the tournament.
Coach profile

Djehiche Abdel Hakim is the head coach of the Algerian National Youth Team.

 

A native of Setif, he started playing Volleyball in the 1990s. He also suited up for the top teams in the country, including E.S. Setif, O.C. Alger , N.R.B.B.A and the National Youth Team of Algeria (1992).

 

Hakim has a diploma from D.E.S (University of Sport 2000), and has been a trainer for such clubs as E.S. Setif, I.T.R. Setif, and R.E.N. in Rennes, France.

 

With assistant coach Ghomari, Hakim expects to build a strong team that is likely to go on to represent Algeria at senior competitions in the future.
