Algeria keeps faith in players ahead of Men’s World Olympic Qualification Tournament; team heads to Dubai to acclimatize |

Lausanne, May 14, 2008 - Algeria will stick roughly with the same players who finished second to Egypt in the African Olympic Qualification Tournament for the upcoming Men’s World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Tokyo.
The squad is the same as for the African campaign with Messaoud Debbih Abderrahmane, Oumesaad Mohamed Amine, Mahmoudi Adel, Soualem Billel, Benhalal Rachid, Saidi Salal Eddine Mokdad, Aberkane Fares, Yassine Hakmi, Zerouki Youcef, Toufik Belaid, Rafik Hassissen and Djoudi Rafik all returning, and they are joined by 18-year-old prodigy Setifien Billal Soualem. They recently got together for their first regrouping session ahead of the May 31 to June 8 tournament.
Algeria will head to Dubai from May 14 to 24 to acclimatize ahead of their trip to the Land of the Rising Sun and will be joined two more players, professionals captain Ali Kerboua of Marseille and Mohamed Chikhi of Emartes.
New Head coach Samir Zitouni, who has big experience on the international stage as a player and trainer, will be leading the Algerians in Japan.
