Netherlands disappointed with match, but happy to be back in World League

Netherlands' Tije Vlam sets as Yannick van Harskamp watches.

Netherlands Captain Jeroen Trommel: It’s pretty clear that we did not play the way that we can. I’m pretty disappointed with that. World League was an eye-opener for us. We knew we had been making progress. I think everybody sees that there is still a lot of work for us to do. I'm happy to be back in World League and I hope we will be back again.

U.S. Captain Tom Hoff: Advancing to the final round is a great way for our team to develop. A lot of people have told me that they can’t believe how many players we can use and still stay in system. It’s a testament to what the staff is getting us to do.

Netherlands Head Coach Peter Blange: Obviously we could not maintain the level of yesterday. Obviously we were not ready to play. For us, it is a process. Our World League had its ups and downs.

U.S. Head Coach Alan Knipe: I was pleased with the match. We had the opportunity to play guys who have done a tremendous job in practice: David Smith, Paul Lotman and Alfee Reft. Actually, I thought they played harder (than the team on Friday night) trying to maximize their opportunity.
