Esko: "We really wanted to win our last game"

Finland Coach Daniel Castellani: "Our playing improved in every weekend in the World League and it went up step by step. Our playing is now much better than in the beginning of the World League. Of course I feel bad that we did not qualify for the Finals, but that's life and now we look forward to the European Championships."

Finland Captain Mikko Esko: "We started now well. We played aggressively and we really wanted to win our last game in front of our home crowd. We played with good feeling and now we really enjoyed playing."

Portugal Coach Juan Diaz: "Finland played good match, very stable and relaxed. They had no pressure in this game. Our attack and block were not good enough this time. We had also a lot of difficulties with Finnish serves."

Portugal Captain Flavio Cruz: "We didn't manage to get in the match like we did yesterday. Finland played differently than in the first match and it was difficult for us. We did not serve and block well enough."
