Knipe: Fatigue took its toll

Poland captain Michal Bakiewicz speaks with the press following his team's World League match against the United States.

Poland Captain Michal Bakiewicz: “Congratulations to the U.S. team. They played very good. We could have won the fourth set but we made a lot of mistakes. We are very unhappy.”

U.S. Captain Reid Priddy: “It was a strange match but we’re happy to get the win.”

Poland Coach Andrea Anastasi: “We had a lot of mistakes, especially in the fourth set. It’s terrible really. Tonight is the first match (of World League) where we don’t play very good.”

U.S. Coach Alan Knipe: “I think fatigue took its toll on both teams tonight. I don’t think either team looked fresh. We did a good job of grinding it out for the victory. It wasn’t pretty.”
