Russian Head coach Daniele Bagnoli: I am very pleased that after the defeat yesterday we found the way to improve significantly. I changed some players in the starting lineup and it worked. Yesterday match gave me some vital information about my players. I also came to understand which of the things I tried didn’t work.

Russian Captain Sergey Tetyukhin: I am very thankful to my teammates. They found the strength to play a different game today after losing yesterday. Our team had a right mood today. But again the third set wasn’t good enough. We shouldn’t have relaxed and let the Bulgarians come back into the game.

Bulgarian Head coach Silvano Prandi: I would like to congratulate Russia. It was a very important match for us as it was played in a high level. Russia was the strongest opponent we have met so far so these games were a good test for my team.

Bulgarian Captain Andrey Zhekov:  The Russian team was much better today. We failed to pull together our game. In a third set we had a chance but we missed it.
