Bulgaria coach Radostin Stoychev: “It was a well-deserved victory for Russia. They are strong in serve, block and attack. Besides they are disciplined and didn’t do mistakes. The Russian team are the favorites in Pool B for sure. We have to work hard to improve and we are going to do it, since we are to play very important matches against Germany.”

Russia captain Taras Khtei: “Our team is happy to get another three points, but we stay concentrated, because matches in Germany and Bulgaria will be more difficult.”
