Finnish Captain Sammelvuo: This was a very important win for us

The Finnish audience had a great time during the match

Finnish coach Mauro Berruto: "I am happy today. I saw what I wanted to see. Two sets were now closer to our best but this was not yet our best playing. We will be better against Brazil and even better against Poland. We had problems in the third set, but we made a wonderful fight. I think Matti Hietanen was great today. Also Mikko Oivanen and libero Pasi Hyvärinen were very good."

Finnish captain Tuomas Sammelvuo: "Of course after yesterday's win in the fifth set we had easier start for this match. Comparing to yesterday's match the difference was in the attitude and aggressiveness in the play. This was very important win for us."

Venezuelan coach Jose A. Gutierrez: "Finland played better than yesterday. In the last part of the third set we made a lot of mistakes and Finland could take the set and win the match. Ivan Marquez had a foot injury and could not play at his best level."

Venezuelan captain Andy Rojas: "For sure Finland played very well today. They were very different than yesterday. We made too much mistakes in serves and blocking."
