Polish Head Coach Daniel Castellani: I’m quite satisfied with the first two sets. Unfortunately we lost them due to the lack of experience. When Brazil plays on their top level, it’s really difficult to win the game. I didn’t make changes because everything worked well, except the reception. That was the reason I decided to replace Ignaczak by Zatorski in the final set.
Polish Captain Michal Bakiewicz: First of all we would like to congratulate our rivals. They are really strong and much more experienced than we are and it was noticeable especially in the final moments of every set. We’re sorry we lost especially because of the great fans that supportes us until the last play of the match.
Brazilian Head Coach Bernardo Rezende: It’s always a great pleasure to play in front of such an amazing audience. We are very impressed with the fans. Poland is the only place on earth people recognize us such well. I agree with Daniel Castellani that we won because we’re more experienced as a team. During the first two sets we had a lot of problems with dividing the ball, but fortunately we won the game. I hope the result will be similar on Sunday.
Brazilian Captain Giba: After the Olympics many coaches decided to make a lot of changes in their teams. The one who adapts firs, will succeed. I’m amazed by the audience and the atmosphere. Tomorrow we’ll have to be more focused from the beginning because the Poles are thirsty for revenge.
