Kolakovic: “We are very pleased with this triumph”

From leaft to right, Serbia captain Bojan Janic, Serbia coach Igor Kolakovic, Finland coach Daniel Castellani and Finland captain Tuomas Sammelvuo at the Press Conference
Finland captain Tuomas Sammelvuo: “Congratulations to Serbia, because they for sure played much better game than yesterday. I think we weren’t meant to win today like we did yesterday. We received better than yesterday, but I guess it wasn’t enough to win. It was very hard for us to maintain the speed and the tempo, but it wasn’t good enough.”

Serbia captain Bojan Janic: “Thanks for congratulations, I have to point out that this victory is really important to us, knowing that we will face Portugal in the next round. We still have to work a lot in improving our game and tactics. The good thing is that we are staying home, in Belgrade, for the next World League round, so we have enough time to prepare ourselves for it.”

Finland coach Daniel Castellani: “Congratulations for Serbian team, they played very good tonight. We had a completely wrong approach to this match. The problem was that we received every ball in a wrong way and it was really difficult situation for us. When you respond to every served ball in the same way, it can’t be good in any way. This is finished for now and we are waiting for our next opponent.”

Serbia coach Igor Kolakovic: “Thank you for congratulations. These matches were almost the same like the ones we played against Argentina. We did make some mistakes, but we’ll work on them for the next round. We are very pleased with this triumph because, after the yesterday’s loss, we did win this match and we played better. We are aware that we are almost favorites in our pool, but we have to prepare ourselves and to play hard against Portugal next week.”
