Second leg for France and Korea

The French block hold out Korea on Wednesday night
Pau, France, June 30 2011 – France and Korea will both be desperate to pick up a win on Thursday night in their crucial FIVB Volleyball World League Pool D match with both sides hovering dangerously close to a playoff battle to stay in the tournament.

France currently sit bottom of the group on eight points with Korea on ten. But if the hosts can follow up on their victory on Wednesday night they will move above their Asian rivals who will then have to wait and see if Portugal beat Finland.

France was defeated twice in Korea and Philippe Blain's side is eager to follow up on the first half of their revenge.

“We played a very good match in Pau but now we should confirm in Boulazac,” he said.

But Korea are looking to recover and blamed tiredness on their loss on Wednesday.

“We are very tired due to the jet lag. So now we prepare for the next game on Friday and hope to be in best shape,” Korea captain Kwon Young-min said.

The two sides will clash at 18:30 GMT.
