Argentina looking for more success in fifth week of World League

Argentina want to continue their winning ways in Formosa this weekend
Buenos Aires, Argentina, June 20, 2011 – Ahead of another home fixture in the Intercontinental Round of the 2011 FIVB Volleyball World League, Javier Weber's Argentina are keeping up with their training.  After a fourth round in Catamarca, where they beat Portugal 3-0 and 3-1, the light blues and whites will next welcome Finland.

The team returned to Buenos Aires after their weekend success and this Tuesday will train at Cenard facilities prior to travelling to Formosa next Wednesday.

Argentina's success in Catamarca meant they equalled their best performance in the FIVB World League. They have won seven matches in a row and stand on top of Pool C with 20 points, followed by Serbia, with 13 (the latter must travel to Portugal for the fifth weekend).

Finland, meanwhile, coached by Argentine coach Daniel Castellani, are third in the pool with eight points and are looking forward to an improvement in their results.

Another victory for Argentina will not only mean the team's best performance since it started participating in the World League, but will bring it very close to participation – for the third consecutive year – in the Final Round.
