Finland, Venezuela expect to play better on Saturday

Interesting attack by the Finns

Tampere, Finland, June 26, 2009 – Finland and Venezuela will meet for the fourth and final time at the World League 2009 on Saturday in Tampere Ice Hall. Both teams are looking to put in better performances than they did on Friday.

 

"Tomorrow we will play better and try to win the match this time", said Venezuelan head coach Jose Gutierrez, who was not satisfied with the amount of mistakes in Friday's game, especially in the fifth set.

 

Finnish head coach Mauro Berruto was also not happy with his team after Friday's match despite the victory.

 

"In Saturday's match I want a big reaction from team in technical, tactical and physical point of view. I will speak to some players individually before the match," he said.

 

Finnish captain Tuomas Sammelvuo did not play on Friday because on an injury and watched the match from the bench.

 

"On Saturday we have to serve better and we must block Luis Diaz. We must also have better defense."
