Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, June 20, 2009 - The
Netherlands and China are anxious to play their the second match of the second
World League weekend at the Omnisports in Apeldoorn.
The Dutch won the first match in straight sets. On
Sunday, the match in Apeldoorn starts at 15:00, with a crowd of 4,550 expected.
Dutch captain Jeroen Trommel: "This was a difficult
opponent with an especially great defense. But the first match was a good test
and I am pleased with the progression I saw. Sunday we will be focused again on
playing to our potential. But a start against the Chinese like this is simply
good."
Dutch setter Yannick van Harskamp: "We have calmly
waited for our chances and then made the most of them. Last week the Americans
played a bit smarter, China was more predictable. It was wonderful to see so
many volleyball fans on the tribunes here. It gives us the extra motivation to
play at our best again Sunday."
