Russian and Germany set to face off again on Saturday

The Russian team is going to show more stable volleyball at the second match with Germany

Kaliningrad, Russia, June 4, 2011 – Despite Russia’s straight-sets victory over Germany on Friday, the visitors are ready to fight for the points in Saturday’s second match.

German coach Raul Lozano has worked hard to improve his young players' technique and serve. The German team showed a high level performance and put the Russians under pressure in Friday’s game in Kaliningrad.

The German coach said he had consulted with Jochen Schops, who plays for Russian volleyball club "Iskra," to find out about the unique features of Russian players.

"Both teams played at the same level, but we had a lot of service errors,” Lozano said. “We are going to play to our limits and compete with Russia tomorrow."

Russian coach Vladimir Alekno admitted he was impressed by Germany’s tactics in the first set and during the game as a whole.

"We need to prevent mistakes and have the Russian team play more stable volleyball tomorrow," he said.
