After compiling a 1-11 record at the 2008 FIVB World League, South Korea got off to a great start at this year's competition by beating a strong Argentine side 3-2 in their first match on Saturday.

The win will give Korea confidence heading into their second match against Argentina on Sunday, although the visitors will look to put pressure on the hosts using their height and power advantages.

Korea will be hoping to get more from their opposite attacker Park Chul-Woo, who was not in good condition in the first match. Should he perform better in the rematch, Korea may very well be able to pull off successive triumphs and emerge as a dark horse in Pool B.

Suwon Indoor Gymnasium was packed with 4,800 spectators at the first match and more spectators are expected to fill the arena Sunday following the victory.
