Profile
Germany’s best wing spiker and team captain has improved immensely in the past few years, especially in his receptions as the 2.00m tall national player has gained control. After his career highlight, participating in the Olympic Games in Beijing, Andrae stepped back from the national team and focused on playing beach volleyball with Marcus Popp (2009). In the final of the German Championship the team was defeated by world champions Julius Brink and Jonas Reckermann. But Andrae continued to play indoor and was therefore attending all the important events in 2009 and was motivated for the 2010 World League and the World Championships.
