Dante has five South American Championship titles (99, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007) and seven World League titles (2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2010). He played in three Olympic Games. In Sidney 2000, he finished in sixth place, in Athens 2004, he won gold and in Beijing 2008, he picked up silver. He has won two Americas Cups, in 1999 and 2001, and the 2003 World Cup. When he played for the junior national team, he won the South American Championship. Last season, he played for Panathinaikos in Greece. He won two world titles, in 2002, in Argentina, and in 2006, in Japan. In 2007, he won gold medals at the South America Championship and at the Pan-American Games. At the end of the year, he won gold at the World Cup. In 2008, he was chosen as the best spiker of the World League. After a quick return to Brazil, to defend Brasil Vôlei Clube, the spiker moved back to Russian club Dynamo Moscow. He won his second World Championship gold medal in 2010.
