   Profile
  One player who shall close the gap within the middle block is Lukas Bauer. The 2.00 m tall 23-year-old has already drawn attention to himself during his junior time, by having his share in winning the silver medal at the European Championships in 2008. From 2009 to 2011 he was blocking for VfB Friedrichshafen and is hoping to constantly enhance his game with former national coach Stelian Moculescu. In the World League 2010, Bauer had his first longer participations in the matches against Cuba and was able to convince with his courageous game. He moved to the French league (Toulouse) in 2011 where he was the strongest block player until his injury.
