The opposite Leandro is habituated in wearing the Brazilian National uniform since his youth. In 2000, he was the champion of the youth South American championship. Later, he got two world titles with Brazilian teams (Youth and Junior). Playing for Unisul/Cimed, he won the São Paulo State Championship, the Visa Cup and two tittles of Santa Catarina State Championship. In 05/06, he got the silver medal in Brazilian Superliga for Telemig Celular/Minas. In 2008, he took part of Brazilian’s team that got the silver medal in America’s Cup. In the following season, played as regular in the World League, the World Grand Champions Cup and the South American Championship.  With the Italian Trentino, Leandro also won the World Clubs Championship. He started the 2010 season winning the title of the World League and was an important player in Brazilian third World Championship title, conquered in Italy. In 2011, finished second in the World League and third in the World Cup.
