  Brian Thornton, a 190cm setter, has expanded his game internationally, exemplifying his adaptability to teams, cultures and techniques.

Thornton (86kg) played the winter of 2010-11 in Champagne-Ardenne, France with team Chaumont in the French B league.

In 2010, Thornton started for the US at the Pan American Cup and helped the side to a gold medal.

In 2009, Thornton was part of a group of US players that traveled to Brazil in a five-match tour. In 2007, Thornton was credited for the comeback of the US over Poland in the World University Games in Thailand.
