Outside hitter Jayson Jablonsky was born on July 23, 1985, in Orange, California, and grew up in Yorba Linda, California. He started playing with the US A2 Team in 2008 and moved up to the national team in 2009, competing in the FIVB Men's World Championship qualifier and a couple of World League stops.
Jablonsky (198cm, 89kg) helped the US team win gold medals at the 2008 and 2010 Pan American Cups. In 2010, he was named the tournament MVP. He finished the 2009 season with a 0.600 hitting percentage, with 27 kills and no errors on 45 attempts in 15 sets. He finished the season averaging 1.93 points per set.
Jablonsky married Tammara Koehler in 2009. During the winter of 2010-11 he played for Olympiacos in the Hellenic league.
