   Profile
  Jose Monteiro was born in Espinho in 1991. He started playing with 7 years old in SC Espinho club that he represented during eleven years, winning 2 beginners national championships. This season he transferred to Esmoriz GC. A 180-cm setter, Ze Pedro is a young player full of enthusiasm, very competitive and committed, and joined the junior national team in 2009. As a setter in formation, has a fast and much diversified play. But, either physically, technical and tactically, still needs to improve, and to continue to work, and doesn’t lack the will power to do that. In 2010 he had his best result in the national team when the Portuguese junior men’s team qualified for the 3rd round of the Junior European Championships.
