  Filipe Pinto was born in 1991 in Oliveira do Bairro and started to play for local club Frei Gil VC when he was 11 years old, back in 2002. In 2007 he transferred to SC Espinho and was integrated the following year into the project of the Portuguese NF the Resende Permanent Training Centre playing for CDRJ Anreade, where he won the III Division Championship.

The following year he returned to SC Espinho to win the A1 Division Championship, and currently plays for Leixoes SC.

A 194-cm universal he first represented Portugal in the youth national team in 2006. Filipe is a young player with excellent physical potential, and has been growing in a demanding and competitive environment. His experience in the A1 championship brought him more consistence and maturity.
