  Finland's captain is making his comeback after resting last summer. He made his debut for national team almost 18 years ago in 1993 against Croatia.

Tuomas has played 245 games for Finland, which is the fifth most ever. He has missed just 24 games since then.

Tuomas has played volleyball in six diffrent countries: Finland (until 1997), France (1998-2000, 2004-2005), Italy (2001-2003, 2009), Japan (2006), Russia (2007-2008, 2011) and Poland (2010).

He won Champions League with Tours 2005 and the CEV Cup with Cuneo 2002. He is also a Cup champion in Finland, Italy and France.

He is nicknamed Köpi.
