  Middle player Konstantin Shumov is a second generation volleyball player. His father Jevgeni played for Finnish League club Pateri in 1987.

205cm tall “Kosti” was born in Russia and has both Finnish and Russian passports. He was one of the key players when Finland finished fourth at the European Championships 2007 in Shumov’s old home town Moscow.

He has played 99 matches for the national team.

Shumov was chosen as the “Rookie of The Year 2004” in the Finnish League. He has played the last five seasons in Italy, first with Isernia and then with Taranto, Vibo Valentia and Loreto. Last season he played for Monza.
